A Piece on New Providence

Located in the Atlantic Ocean is an archipelago of over 700 islands, cays and islets. This gem of islands is called The Bahamas. New Providence is the most populous island; this is where the capital city, Nassau, is found. New Providence is home to over 70% of the country’s population. It serves as the nation’s commercial, political, and tourism hub. Bahamar, Melia, Super Breezes and Atlantis at Paradise Island are all located on the island of New Providence. Nassau is home to many historical sights and attractions, some of which include “The Queen’s Staircase”, the straw market, Blue Lagoon Island and Clifton Heritage National Park.
